Our History
Clinical lead physiotherapist Gary Carr came from a background of banking and went back to University and qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1999. After 8 years in the NHS, he set up Excel Physiotherapy and Acupuncture within the GP practice at Cranham Village Surgery, Ingrebourne Gardens on a part time basis in 2007.After 12 happy years at the GP surgery, Excel moved to our purpose built physiotherapy clinic at 10 Moor lane, still in Cranham village in 2019. From there, the business has gone from strength to strength serving the local community and the areas beyond.
Our Treatment Philosophy
Physiotherapy assessment is not only about locating the source of the pain and identifying the weakness that is causing it. It is working out the habit that is driving the weakness. Only then can the problem be solved long term.
Team
Gary qualified as a physiotherapist in 1999 from the University of East London following an initial degree in Sports Science.
Michelle is the newest member of the team. She has 13 years post graduate experience in the world of neuro-musculoskeletal physiotherapy both in the NHS and in private practice.
Initial enquiries and bookings are directed through the very experienced admin team and throughout the whole treatment process they will be happy to assist with any administrative procedures.
