EXCELLENT Based on 262 reviews Posted on Sophia SammonsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very grateful to Gary for helping me with a knee issue that three physiotherapists couldn’t figure out. Gary is knowledgeable and took the time to explain the mechanics of my knee and hip, and built a rehab program for me to follow to prevent further injury. Would highly recommend to anyone!Posted on Anna StoddartTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Only have positive things to say about Gary, if I hadn’t had had his guidance and expertise, I would not have got through my marathon training period and the marathon itself! He targeted physio to my needs, helping to strengthen weak areas that were causing me problems as well as dealing with minor injuries that cropped up towards the end of training. Thank you!Posted on LeeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was treated by Gary at Excel Physiotherapy in Upminster after a serious knee injury whilst playing football. I cannot speak more highly of Gary. He went above and beyond what I expected of a physio. I was at serious risk of missing a pre booked golf weekend that I’d already paid for. After telling Gary this, he ensured he fit me in with as many sessions as was possible before that trip, often moving things around to accommodate sessions. He even sourced a knee brace for me that made the golf weekend possible. Without Gary’s intervention I would have been unable to go and would have lost the money I spent on it too. As part of my injury I also suffered knock on impact to my lower back, but yes you guessed it, Gary sorted that for me too. And to top it off, Gary is such a nice guy, really down to earth, funny and gives really clear instruction and advice on how to recover in the best possible way. If I ever needed a physio again I would not even consider going anywhere else. I would highly recommend Gary to anyone requiring a physiotherapist. Thank you! I’ve suffered from injuries in my shoulder, knee and hip and every-time he’s helped fix them. I couldn’t recommend a better physio!!! I also want to give a special shoutout to the reception who are always kind and respectful.Posted on Aimee23 DTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been seeing Gary Carr at Excel Physiotherapy since my teenage years for a range of hockey-related injuries — from a dislocated shoulder and ankle ligament issues to a recent MCL tear and patellar tendonitis. Gary is always friendly, professional, and thorough. He’s helped me understand how small changes in everyday posture and movement can make a big difference — addressing the root causes of my injuries rather than just the symptoms. What sets Gary apart is his approach: he doesn’t just treat the pain, but takes the time to explain what’s happening in your body and provides tailored rehabilitation exercises to get you back to full strength. The reception team is also fantastic — always welcoming, efficient, and responsive — which makes every visit a positive experience. A huge thank you to Gary and the entire team at Excel Physiotherapy. Thanks to their care and expertise, I’ve made great progress and am back to playing at full tempo. I couldn’t recommend them more highly!Posted on chloe tooleyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gary is a brilliant physio and true professional. He quickly diagnosed and resolved my shoulder issue with expert care and attention. I'd highly recommend Excel Physiotherapy to anyone in need of a quality physio.Posted on Lauren MillingtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gary supported me through various unfortunate injuries as I was training for a half marathon this year, he was invaluable in supporting me and really aided in my recovery(each time) his advice and approach was excellent, and friendliness has me recommending him to everyone!Posted on Karen CarrTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excel is an excellent physiotherapist service. 2nd to none. Would highly recommend.Posted on Mateus PortoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve been seeing Gary Carr at Excel Physiotherapy for about a year, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. I came in with hip, spinal, and nerve issues that I couldn’t quite explain - I didn’t realise that some of my everyday posture habits were causing the problem. Gary quickly identified what was going on and helped me understand it clearly from the very first session. What makes Gary exceptional is his personal and educational approach. He doesn’t just treat the pain; he takes the time to explain what’s happening in your body, why it’s happening, and how targeted exercise can both fix and prevent issues long term. His guidance has made it much easier for me to build awareness, confidence, and healthier movement habits. The clinic team is also fantastic - the reception staff are always friendly, prompt, and responsive, which makes the whole experience even better. Thanks to Gary and the team at Excel Physiotherapy, I’ve made great progress and now feel stronger, more mobile, and more in tune with my body. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.Posted on Richard KentTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Gary quickly diagnosed the issue with my shoulder being tendinosis. As well giving me regular physio treatment on the shoulder he gave me very useful exercises to strengthen both shoulders and advice. I know that my shoulder will always have a weakness but through Gary's treatment and advise it is now with regular exercises pain free thank you
